Mom Moment {Monday}

I snapped these pics in the backyard this weekend.  I would LOVE to be a photographer in real life, but I have many many many things to learn.

While I was snapping these pictures I got a little bit sad.  It seems like just as fast as the camera can flash, these boys have grown up. I had a complete "mom" moment. Where in the world does time go?  I'm praying that God will help me to savor each moment, and keep these precious memories tucked away in my heart!

Right now I'm so torn between staying at home again next year or heading back into the classroom since my big guy will be in kinder. . .praying for wisdom and guidance!

  1. Hi I'm a follower of your blog and I have 2 young children. They are not yet school age and I'm looking into going back to the classroom as well. I was wondering how you plan on making the transition back. I've been out only 3 years yet so much has changed and I am feeling like a student out of college may be more prepared than I am even though I taught for 7 years. Do you have any suggestions to make myself a better candidate for employment?

    1. Hi there! Great question! I have been out for one year, but during this school year I worked as a part time tutor/interventionist. I kept in close contact with my school and teammates so that has been a tremendous help! I think your 7 years of experience will speak volumes for you. Even though times have changed a bit, you are still equipped with so many valuable teaching experiences. Another plus for you is that you have young children of your own. Educators and administrators understand that mothers need to spend time with their own kiddos too. I would definitely look into any part-time positions or intervention positions that are out there. Also keep in touch with former principals and co-workers. You never know what new positions might open up!

    I don't think your kids could be any cuter! I'm one of your newest followers. I'm making the transition from third grade to kinder next year...scary yet exciting! All I've ever taught is second, third, and fourth so it will be quite a change but a needed one. I look forward to all your great ideas as well as getting to know you better.

    1. Stephanie, I think you will LOVE Kinder! I know it's a pretty big jump from 2nd, 3rd and 4th. . .but kindergarteners are the sweetest most eager to learn students on campus! You'll get so many hugs and notes! I look forward to checking out your blog too!

  3. I love the pictures, I think with a bit more practice you could make an amazing photographer. Both of your boys are adorable. Good luck making the transition back to the school room.
