{ar} and {or}

Today we read "My Daddy Snores."  The kids absolutely loved it!  I highly recommend it as well.  We used the book to review {or}, make predictions, and practice retelling/sequencing.

 I made a little recording page for part of the writing connections, but we used handwriting paper instead.

I also like to read this book or "The Enormous Watermelon" to review {or}.  We've been studying plants and working in our school garden so they're perfect connections to science.

 Here are some of my favorite {ar} books. . .

  2. Super cute! These ideas will be perfect for my spelling program next year since I have already taught "or" and "ar". I already have the book My Daddy Snores, which I agree is a great book! Thanks for the great ideas and book suggestions.
