We finished up writing a text-to-self connection with "Tacky the Penguin." The kids created some amazing penguins and did a fabulous job connecting the text to themselves. I loved this activity!

Penguins are just so cute!

I made these for students to use as a word work activity during Daily 5. They can use a pocket chart or work at their seat. There is also a short recording sheet.
