80's day reading, writing, and math...

Each group had 10 minutes to see if they could record 80 words (spelled correctly).  We used an online timer to track the time.

We also made "boomboxes" and "cassette tapes" for our math review.  The kids were amazed that in the 80's there were no mp3 players or ipods to listen to music.  They had no idea about boomboxes or tapes!

I have lots of pics to share...I know I could have used smilebox to make a slideshow, but I wanted to give you lots of laughs up close and personal!  My co-workers and students look "totally awesome" today!

80's Costume

                   

80's costume!  I'll either be rockin' a hot pink poofy prom dress or some workout gear complete with florescent colors, tights, and leg warmers!  I'm hoping to make my final purchases today so I can post some pics and get some opinions.  The prom dress would be fun, but I'm also quite fond of wearing workout clothes to school (total comfort-no explanations required)!
