Hi Brooke! I don't know if you remember me (I was April's student teacher @ Moseley two years ago- and I took your classroom when you moved to Mansfield!) I used your pieces for the New Year's graph (time went to bed) and the hat glyph today and my kids had a lot of fun! I hope to post pictures soon: thanks again for sharing!!!
Thanks so much for sharing your ideas! I was bummed I couldn't find real noisemakers but we made them with scrapbook paper and they came out pretty darn cute! I posted pics on my blog with a nod to you. Jenn http://finallyinfirst.blogspot.com
Chrissy-I do remember you. I bet you are doing an amazing job with your students!
Jenn-so glad you were able to use some of the new year's stuff...I like the idea of using scrapbook paper-it would have saved me from whipping out the hot glue gun!
Hi! My name is Brooke Perry. Welcome to Perspectives! I am currently a reading specialist in Texas. This is my 10th year in education. I love reading, watching students develop a lifelong love for reading, and assisting teachers with reading projects in their classroom!
I am married to Mr. Incredible, a software engineer, and I have 3 handsome, energetic little boys! My undergrad degree is from The University of Texas at Austin in Child Development & Family Relations. Hookem'! I also have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on literacy and language development.
I love shopping, baking, reading, event planning, turning trash into treasure, and finding great deals! Perspectives began as "Primary Perspectives" and was created in fall of 2010. Over time it has transformed into an informational and educational blog with resources for parents, teachers, and families. I love comments and questions. Welcome to Perspectives, and thanks for stopping by!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
I love the "improve my cooking skills". So first grade!!!
