We've been learning about "fantasy" and "reality." Since we were all about "Earth Day" and "earthworms," last week, the students created their own book title. . . can you tell which ones are fantasy and which ones are reality?
Before we created the books, we read two great books. . .
We've also been learning a lot about alliteration and place value. . .so since I'm completing end of year testing (down to 26 days-yipee!!!!) I combined the two to make this activity take a little longer!
Last week our phonics skill was {oo}. Here are some fun activities that we enjoyed!
We made some {lookout glasses} to use for a read the room activity. . .then the kids practiced their spelling words with cereal. . . they had to decide whether it was a
word
or a
word
I hope you're having a great week so far. . .I have some BIG news to share later this week. . .stay tuned!
One more thing. . . my little Sol's party was SO much fun. . .he had the most adorable cake (sorry the pics are so blurry. . .I was using my phone-which usually takes o.k. pictures, but I should have been using our family camera)! Everything was edible, and it tasted just as delicious as it looks!

LOVE that name alliteration with math - it'll be perfect for Beginning of Year next year!
