I just found these at my Target yesterday-I ended up buying 3 of them. It is really dangerous to go to Target these days with all the fabulous stuff they are stocking in their dollar spot! ~Meredith Keen on Kindergarten
I think I need to go drive by tomorrow. They weren't there last week and I could totally use them for my center directions! Lindsey http://www.whytewater.blogspot.com
I haven't found them at our Target either. But last year I did find the ones without the little white board. I put one at each table with the new sight word we were learning, and the previous ones we learned. I've also used them to put the students' name tags so that I could move them around to different tables and not have to worry about taping down name tags and pulling them back up.
Ooh! They didn't have them last time I was there, but I'll have to scour all the Targets in my area to find them. They are perfect, especially with the little white board! I keep buying too many things from the dollar section every time I go, it's dangerous! ;)
These are a great addition to the classroom. Fran at Kindergarten Crayons has posted some fun idea to use these. http://kindergartencrayons.blogspot.com/2011/07/easy-peasy-reading.html
Hi! My name is Brooke Perry. Welcome to Perspectives! I am currently a reading specialist in Texas. This is my 10th year in education. I love reading, watching students develop a lifelong love for reading, and assisting teachers with reading projects in their classroom!
I am married to Mr. Incredible, a software engineer, and I have 3 handsome, energetic little boys! My undergrad degree is from The University of Texas at Austin in Child Development & Family Relations. Hookem'! I also have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on literacy and language development.
I love shopping, baking, reading, event planning, turning trash into treasure, and finding great deals! Perspectives began as "Primary Perspectives" and was created in fall of 2010. Over time it has transformed into an informational and educational blog with resources for parents, teachers, and families. I love comments and questions. Welcome to Perspectives, and thanks for stopping by!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
